You’ve probably heard word by now that the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger is likely to move forward. While there are still details to be worked out — and hopefully further concessions to be made by Paramount — there is one group that is conspicuously missing from the conversation. And that’s freelancers.
If or when this merger happens, real work will be taken out of the hands of writers, directors, actors, and craftspeople of all kinds — many of whom are freelancers.
